Photography Services – Terms & Conditions
This agreement sets out the understanding between JOANNE ELIZABETH PORTRAITS (the “Photographer/Studio”) and you, the Client.
By confirming your booking (either verbally or in writing), you are agreeing to these Terms and Conditions. Any changes must be agreed in writing.
Booking & Payment

A booking fee of £95 is required to secure your session. This fee is non-refundable but may be transferred to another session date.

The remaining balance is due on the day of your session.

Images and digital files will not be released until the balance has been paid in full.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
-
If you cancel or reschedule with more than 48 hours’ notice, your booking fee may be transferred to another available date or refunded in full.

If you cancel or reschedule with less than 48 hours’ notice, the booking fee is non-refundable.
Non-Payment
-
Payment: Full payment is required on the day of the shoot.

Late Payment: If payment is not made on the shoot date, a late fee of 5% per week will be added to the outstanding balance until cleared.

File Storage: While payment remains outstanding, digital files may be stored at a cost of £25 per month for a maximum of 6 months. After this time, unpaid files may be permanently deleted.

Payment plans or discounts may be offered at my discretion.
Final Sale Policy

Photography is a bespoke service. Once your session has taken place and the images have been captured, all sales are final.

Refunds are not given on the basis of personal preference regarding style, content, composition, or editing, as these form part of my artistic process.
Copyright & Image Use

All photographs remain the copyright of JOANNE ELIZABETH PORTRAITS.

Selected images may be used for portfolio, marketing, competition, or promotional purposes (unless otherwise agreed in writing).

Clients are granted a personal licence to use and display purchased images. Commercial use must be agreed separately.

Unedited/raw files are not provided and must not be copied, altered, or shared.
Liability

In the unlikely event I cannot attend due to illness or circumstances beyond my control, all payments will be refunded in full. No further compensation is available.

While I take great care with your images, in the rare event of technical failure or loss, liability is limited to the amount paid.

By booking a session, you accept responsibility for your own safety and that of children, family members, and pets during the shoot, and release JOANNE ELIZABETH PORTRAITS from any liability.
Creative Liability

I will always do my best to capture the photographs we plan for, but specific shots or outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

My style, editing, and artistic direction are integral to the service you are booking.

Clients are encouraged to share ideas, inspiration, or a shot list in advance. During the shoot, images will be reviewed to ensure we are on track.
Session Duration
-
Refresher Session – up to 30 minutes
-
Essentials Session – up to 1 hour
-
Signature Session – up to 2 hours
-
Premium Portfolio Session – up to 3 hours
Sessions may end earlier if everything has been captured. Additional time required due to lateness or client request is chargeable at £95 per hour.
Delivery of Images

A private, password-protected online proofing gallery will be provided within 24 hours of your session.

Retouched images are delivered as high-resolution digital files (300 DPI, at least 3000px on the longest edge).

I do not guarantee storage of your files after your order has been delivered. Please ensure you purchase all images you require and make secure backups.
Retouching & Additional Edits
-
After viewing your proofing gallery, you may select the images you would like retouched.
-
Standard turnaround is 5 business days after selections are made.
-
Standard edits include light skin retouching, colour, and exposure adjustments.

Additional edits are charged at £25 per image.

Express delivery (48 hours for up to 3 images) is available for £50.
-
Once an order is placed, it cannot be cancelled or substituted.
Re-Shoots
-
Re-shoots are at my discretion and are chargeable.

They are not offered for reasons such as clothing, hair, makeup, weather, or dissatisfaction not raised during the shoot itself.

Images will be reviewed during the session to confirm satisfaction before moving forward.
General
-
All bookings are subject to change. I am not responsible for travel or other costs arising from reschedules.

All communication regarding lateness, reschedules, or changes must be sent by email. Messages via text or social media are not accepted.
